  • Target the powerful redfish (red drum), celebrated for its strength and fighting energy, or the elusive speckled trout, admired for its stunning appearance and elusive behavior. Experience the excitement of landing a sizable black drum or the coveted flounder, offering both challenge and reward to anglers of all skill levels. With a rich variety of species ready to bite, every cast brings the promise of adventure and discovery.

  • Ensure you pack your essentials, including sunscreen or a long-sleeved SPF shirt, rain jacket, a hat, polarized sunglasses, your fishing license. Guides will provide rods, reels, bait, and personal floatation devices (PFDs). 
     
    For fly-fishing or wade-fishing enthusiasts, remember to bring your gear, such as rods, waders, wading boots, lures, and stringer. 

  • Sure, we will find out if they are available and let you know. 

  • Typically, fishing trips last around 4 to 6 hours, but if you reach your fish limit earlier, we may conclude the excursion ahead of schedule. 

  • We warmly welcome anglers of all ages to enjoy and explore our bay systems. However, please note that a full day of fishing usually lasts around 6 hours, which might be a bit long for younger children. That said, we're committed to making sure families have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience tailored to everyone's needs. 

  • In the event of a weather-related cancellation, rest assured that we've got you covered. We can reschedule at a future date. Additionally, if conditions allow, we'll gladly explore the possibility of rescheduling your trip for later in the day, providing flexibility and options to ensure you make the most of your time on the water. 

  • It is the angler's responsibility to purchase a fishing license before the fishing trip. Licenses can be conveniently purchased through the Texas Parks and Wildlife website or locally at Tackle Town.

  • Back Lakes Lodge offers at its core Airboat fishing trips. Airboat fishing trips allow you to experience our local ecosystem in a way you never have. Airboat fishing is an excellent option for families and groups of anglers with varying skill levels.  
     
    We also offer fly-fishing and wade-fishing trips from the airboat for our more experienced anglers.
