Rockport is in the South Zone, we usually have a youth, veterans, and active duty military weekend in late October. The regular season will open up in November and run through January with a two-week break at the end of November.

This area of Texas, known as the Coastal Bend region, boasts abundant populations of ducks. Yet, it's the significant numbers of migrating Gadwall, Widgeon, Pintail, Redhead, and Teal that attract our duck hunting clientele annually.

Yes, we provide "Cast-n-Blast" combos, complete full-day experiences. Typically, your day begins with a morning hunt, followed by a return to the dock for unloading, a satisfying lunch break, a change out of your waders, and then embarking on an afternoon fishing excursion.

We suggest bringing GORE-TEX or neoprene waders, reliable wading boots, waterproof gloves, a cozy camo outer layer, and your preferred 12 or 20-gauge shotgun. Ensure you have 3” (#3 or #4 shot) non-toxic shotgun shells.

We strictly adhere to all regulations set forth by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. To participate, ensure you have your Resident or Non-resident hunting license for Texas, along with the required Federal waterfowl stamp, both of which can be conveniently purchased on the Texas Parks & Wildlife website. Rest assured, our guides diligently ensure that all harvested wildlife remains within legal limits.

*We do suggest having shooting experience before duck hunting for the first trip.

We have skilled retrievers readily available. If you plan to bring your own hunting dog, let’s chat in advance to coordinate a plan.

There are no age restrictions; we would say that 7 years of age seems to be a great starting age for duck hunting.
Every hunter in Texas (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after September 2, 1971 must complete Hunter Education. The minimum age for the certification is 9 years, and the cost is $15.
IF YOU WERE BORN ON OR AFTER SEPTEMBER 2, 1971 AND YOU ARE:
Under 9 years of age, you must be accompanied*.
Age 9 through 16, you must successfully complete hunter education, OR you must be accompanied.
Age 17 and over, you must successfully complete hunter education; OR purchase a “Hunter Education Deferral,” and you must be accompanied.
You must have proof of your hunter education during your hunt, you can use the Texas Outdoor Annual mobile app or print copy of your certification
